‘Tasralech’ is a type of family drama which means it can be seen by all the family members; parents and children can sit together and watch the movie and discuss the ideas later on. The base of every country is a family. And according to our country’s tradition and culture, the truth behind the relationship between a parent and child is not very clear. Parents need to be respected by their children because their main problem is their status in the society and the children follow their parents blindly without asking ‘why?’ Even after we got married and have kids of our own we are still under our parents influence and our main problem is we do not question ‘why?’ ‘Tasralech’ will show us that one 18 year old girl opposes her parent’s demands unlike many of us. And because of this, she is forced to tie herself in the notion of her parents. Yet, the movie is a struggle as she tries to free herself from this notion. ‘Tasralech’ is a film which every Habesha has to see. “You worry about your reputation which is disrespected by your child … not your child’s reputation disrespected by you” Quoted from the movie ‘Tasralech’
‘Ha Hu’ Film Production company is a profit making company; however, the profit is measured by the number of well talented actors the company train and contribute to the country. Also I made sure that the purpose of this production company is to value the discipline of the field and to play a significant roll in producing entertaining films to its audiences. In my 7 months stay with the production company as a writer and director of ‘Tasralech’, I observed one truth, which is to plan and work hard to improve Ethiopia’s film industry. I always see that the company’s main objective is not to expect results today but to hope for a bright future in enhancing the film industry of the country. It’s clear that to make a film, a high budget is needed and the production company played a great role in producing ‘Tasralech’.
I say keep it up and grow big.
